Side drifting eggs or shrimp, bobber fish and jig fishing with light tackle.

Willamette River & Clackamas Spring Chinook

Trolling herring or prawns, back-trolling; lugs and eggs or back-bouncing bait.

Buoy 10 Columbia River Silver (Coho) & Chinook (Kings) Salmon

Trolling herring & spinners will bring multiple salmon catches on most trips. There is always the possibility of a 40 pound or bigger King!

Columbia River - Deschutes Mouth

Troll for Chinook Salmon and Big "B" run Steelhead.

Fishing Trip Details

Fishing begins from portage, generally at daylight. Depending on conditions, most trips last into the mid-afternoon. Often times during the Boy 10 fishing there are both morning and afternoon trips available.

We provide all fishing gear, tackle & bait.

What you should bring
  • You need to dress in warm clothes, layers are recommended
  • Rain gear is recommended (unless weather forecasts otherwise.)
  • Hip boots or waders are not needed but if you are more comfortable, warm and dry then please wear them
  • Hat or something to keep your head dry and warm
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Camera
  • Beverages, lunch and snacks
  • Something to transport your fish home, cooler or container
  • Proper fishing license & tag
